Long-lived service principal credential (T1098.001)
An app your organization owns signs in with a credential that stays valid for more than 12 months, or 24 months for a certificate, or holds more than two active secrets.
Why it matters
A long-lived credential stays useful to whoever copies it from a script, a pipeline or a developer's machine long after anyone remembers where it went.
How GraphnAI finds it
It runs after every sync, on each connected domain or tenant on its own. It applies to Microsoft Entra ID.
It reads:

Why there's no automatic fix
Removing a service principal's credential, or disabling the service principal, is done in Microsoft Entra.
How to fix it
Replace this credential with one that expires within 12 months, or 24 months for a certificate, then remove the old one. Remove secrets the app no longer uses.
