Josh co-created Tanium's Impact module and rose to Director of Product Management, leading security products that run on millions of endpoints across the Global 2000. He is a named inventor on US Patent 11,831,670, for analyzing lateral movement risk in distributed systems.

At Microsoft he started as a Senior Premier Field Engineer for Exchange Server and Active Directory and was promoted to Cybersecurity Architect. He co-led the intellectual property and training for Microsoft's Compromise Recovery practice, and flew to customer sites worldwide to lead recoveries after breaches. He spent 20 years in the United States Air Force, retiring as a Master Sergeant (E-7).
