Dormant service principal is still privileged (T1078.004)
A privileged app's service principal hasn't signed in for a long time, but it still holds its access.
Why it matters
Nobody watches an app no one uses, so a stolen credential for it can be used without anyone noticing.
How GraphnAI finds it
It runs after every sync, on each connected domain or tenant on its own. It applies to Microsoft Entra ID.
It reads:
- The directory attributes
servicePrincipalTypeandaccountEnabled - 4 more GraphnAI analyses
Tiered Fidelity™ level: Theoretical
Every finding from this check carries the Theoretical level.

Why there's no automatic fix
Removing an app's access or disabling its service principal is done in Microsoft Entra.
How to fix it
This app hasn't signed in for a long time but still holds privileged access. Remove its permissions and credentials, or disable its service principal if no one needs it.
